This is the best Gelateria in Sorrento, without a doubt!
The shop is run by a family and has been in operation since 1860! The staff at the shop were very friendly indeed, especially Mama, who is 71, and her son who is very cheeky! As you pass for the first time they offer you a free sample, and thats how it starts, after that, you're hooked!
The ice cream is absolutely the best, much better than the Raki Gelateria, where the service is quite frankly poor. There are a wide range of ice creams to choose from as well as pastries and ice slushes. From experience I can recommend the dark chocolate, plain chocolate, vanilla, Nutella and cookie.
Antica Gelateria also does, we found, the best tasting Coffee in Sorrento at a fair price.
A small but very appreciative point the staff made was to remember what we liked, as we visited many times throughout our stay. Each night the staff would remember that we like a coke light with our ice creams as well as 4 cafe late's.
Great Ice Cream and lovely staff. What more could you want?
