The Villa Borghese Park
The Villa Borghese Park occupies a large area in the heart of the city. The villa contains inside buildings, sculptures, monuments and fountains, works of famous artists from the baroque, neoclassical, eclectic, surrounded by ancient trees, ponds, formal gardens and wide open spaces, made with great care. Provides its visitors with historical and naturalistic itineraries as well as numerous cultural, recreational and sporting activities. Historical The construction of the villa was commissioned by Cardinal Scipione Borghese, nephew of Pope Paul V, Flaminio Ponzo and his student John Vasanzio, who was succeeded in 1621 Girolamo Rainaldi.
